Employees will receive a general explanation of the epidemiology and symptoms of bloodborne diseases and how they are transmitted; they will learn the use and limitations of methods that will prevent or reduce exposure including work practices and personal protective equipment; and they will learn what actions to take if an exposure to bloodborne pathogens occurs.
